Welcome to our Blog

What a day we had! The weather could have been a little better but it in no way dampened our spirits for our second Taste of the NorthWest. Everyone had a great time and visitors were definitely up on last year.
We are already planning the third so put it in your diary now.
April 30th 2011. Same great location.
Our guest for the day, Costa from the SBS gardening program Costa's Garden Odyssey, was just the best. I think Costa really had his eyes opened to our wonderful state both on this visit and his previous visit when he was here filming for his garden program.
I know he will be back!!
Anyway everyone you are all welcome to leave your comments and any suggestions you may have.

Many thanks to "the locals" who came out in droves with brollies and raincoats from 11am onwards. Launceston was well-represented and there were plenty of people from further west along the coast; our raffle winner was from Devonport and had a hard time wrenching the basket of goodies from Costa.

Well, well well well, what a day it was. I'm still harvesting so haven't had time to think it all through yet but one thing I do know, Taste of the North West is definitely on the calendar. In a weird way I think the weather was good. Good because we could not cook the Nichols Chicken any faster. We should have had hot toddy wine though.
Already looking forward to next year.
